Starting in 2010 the BEHAbelt Newsletter takes on technical topics in the "Things you should know" section. Here we discuss topics that you may run into on your day- to- day routine at work or with a client. Our first topic of the year is Pulley Diameter.

• In general, the pulley diameter has a remarkable effect on the durability of the belt in use. Therefore, we recommend that you do not go below the recommended minimum pulley diameter mentioned within the BEHAbelt delivery program , instead chose a larger diameter. Undersized pulley diameters always reduce the durability of the belts because extreme flexing cycles reduce the materials quality. The mentioned min. pulley diameters always refer to an angle of grip of 180°. The flexing cycle specifies with how much degree the belt is enlacing the pulley.
